the Art of the Possible

  Human art is an individual expression of collective creativity and can be considered only in this aspect. Questions of the popularity of an artist – in addition to the fading temporary ones - there are banal questions of the connection between the individual and society. Here luck plays no less a role than talent. Only the present really exists, the past is only a point of view, and the unpredictability of the future is simply connected with a huge number of factors affecting it. The number of options for the future is so great that even the Creator prefers experiment to calculation. Patterns change over time and today they are no longer the same as they were yesterday and not the same as they will be tomorrow.

  However, organic life resists entropy and chaos, and the human population has developed certain methods to compensate for the phenomena generated by abilities and luck. In art, this is, first of all, the public nature of creativity, which ensures the ordering of the connection of the category of viewers with such categories as the idea and the creator. We have to pay for it with the lack of breakthrough ideas and technologies, but, apparently, this might have a reason - in a long time. By the way, in public life, this also includes such a thing as the term of presidential powers, limited in mature societies. There are other ways to ensure homeostasis – for example, the duration of an individual's life.

 It is clear that the tendencies of nepotism and corruption are inherent characteristic of a person as a biological being, but the man should not forget that a person is only an object at this celebration of life and he is not an experimenter, but only a participant in the experiment. The result of the experiment may not please a person - after all, depending on these tests, a real experimenter can determine the different future of modern people – up to their complete destruction. The scenarios here are very different, but we must remember that the Creator/The experimenter controls everything through physics, chemistry and mathematics.

  Truth is never sweet, and Conceptual Symbolism in art seems to be one of those bitter pills - attempts to illustrate the problems of the universe through the symbols of everyday life. When the unpredictability of the future increases in proportion to the horizon being pushed back and, at a certain moment, becomes similar to the past. Both the past and the future seem to be only the points of view, devoid of a clear factual justification - with any interpretation of the results of socio-cultural analyses. Then any guesses in art are possible, and if some details of the picture seem strange, then this is just a momentary point of view that stupidly needs a comment. And, of course, it concerns also the painting of Conceptual Symbolism.
